Love Animated Pictures Biography

The Secret - philosophical documentary about the Law of Attraction in the universe.
Most memorable quote from the movie for me: "That which you focus on - expands ". (deep) : )

The Fountain- WOW this was amazing Darren Aronofsky film; He says- his journey as a filmmaker lead him to this... his ideal film.
Its a hard to describe film but let's call it sci-fi meets new age. A man travels through time on a quest to fulfill his soulmates wishes,
but that's only part of the plot- you have to see it to understand it. Hugh Jackman (aka Wolverine) is a dynamic actor in this.

What the Bleep Do We Know?- This is a documentary with philosophers and quantum physicists talking about human conditioning on a quantum level. Note: There's a DVD version (called: What the Bleep Do We Know? Down the Rabbit Hole) that has a special menu feature: a random-number-generator that will play the movie chapters in a random way when activated. The trick is to - try- to influence the statistical random-ness with your intent for certain numbered/chapters to play in the way you want . (the movie explains). I loved this film. Check out the
water crystal experiments in the movie:

Rize ( 2005 ) - Documentary by colorful fashion photographer David LaChapelle ; It's about Tommy The Clown and his part in an awe inspiring dance movement in LA. Its inspirational to see these kids expressing themselves through dance. (PS: And now their dance style is sweeping the nation! its called Krumping). Wikipedia tells it like this: "Krumping is a relatively new form of dance within the "urban" African American dance and street dance movements, and is characterized by free, expressive and highly energetic moves. The form is attributed as having originated in the African-American community of South Los Angeles. The origins of the movement attribute the style to having developed as a positive release of aggression and anger and a nonviolent alternative to the street violence that is widespread in many of the areas where it is performed"

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006)-Sometimes its fun laugh at people who don't have a sense of humor and if that doesn't work, laugh at Sacha Cohen with his head stuck in his fellow actors be-hind (OMG!).

Born Into Brothels/ Kids with Cameras (2004)- Amazing documentary about a woman who started a photography workshop with kids
that were growing up in a brothel in a Calcutta red-light district. These kids are amazing and talented photographers
and the filmmaker goes the extra step- to help get funding for them, especially the young girls to attend good and safe boarding schools.
The fundraising continues today; They are now organizing funds for " Hope House "a nurturing home where up to 150 children from Calcutta's red light district can come to live, learn, and grow.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind- Michel Gondry film about relationships. One company can
erase your old relationship memories but the main character realizes that he wants to keep his
memories right as he is already sedated and is starting to get them erased so he must hide his memories
in his mind where the brain-washers can't find them

1980-1990's films:
Brazil- directed by of my favorite directors: Terry Gilliam. Think George Orwell's book "1984" ala Monte Python's dark humour
(Top 5 favorite film of mine)

Defending Your Life- Al Brooks movie about the benefits of living your daily life without fear.
(Top 5 favorite film of mine)

Waking Life- animated rotoscoped live-action film by Richard Linklater- philosophical film about life, death and dreaming
(Top 5 favorite film of mine)

The Jerk- Steve Martin movie starts out explaining that he was "born a poor black child with no rhythm"

Usual Suspects- I watched this over and over and got new interpretations everytime. Loved Benicio Del Toro's performance

Cockettes- Documentary about performance group from Haight Ashbury days that has John Waters commenting on the era

Mars Attacks- Tim Burton Sci Fi- wonderment. Gotta love a movie that uses Hank Williams music to scare off Martians : )

Mrs Brown- Story of Queen Victoria and the Scottsman that brought her good spirits back; Good movie to get over being stuck
in a self-defeating spiral of negativity ; ) (1997)

1960's-1970's-1980's films:
Ferris Bueller's Day Off- A movie that helped motivate me and my pals to amp up the fun-knob (1986)
(Top 5 favorite film of mine)

Hope & Glory- John Boorman's film about growing up a kid during WW2 in England (1987)

Emerald Forrest- John Boorman's film about a dam-contractor's kid lost to Brazilian rain-forest tribe (1985)

Blazing Saddles (1974)-A Mel Brooks film that is a crack up about reluctant (black) sheriff who helps liberate a small frontier town from developers, with Gene Wilder (1974)

Being There (1979): so funny. A dimwitted yet un-deniably philospohical gardener for a big estate
gets caught up in a web of craziness.

All of Me (1984): Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin at their best. Carl Reiner directs this very fun spoof
on spirituality and out of body experience gone awry.

Stripes- funny Bill Murray at his best (1981)

Harold and Maude- kooky 60's dark comedy and love story (1971)

70's TV:
Wonder Woman- TV Series. Check out season 1 (especially episode 1! ; I never saw the pilot before the DVD). And did you know that Deborah Wingert (Officer and a Gentleman-actress) plays her little princess sister, and Cloris Leachman, is the Queen on Paradise Isle?
